Singaporeans, stand up and be proud!

Singapore has won Iraq 2-0! Woo hoo!

Though I'm a supporter of local soccer, I don't really go to the stadium to watch matches because time is really precious to me. Would have loved to watch this match today but tomorrow got to go to work...so got to prepare.

But one sour taste in my mouth is the sacking of the two players, especially Goh Tat Chuan. Somehow it just doesn't feel right or ethical for that to happen to him. Getting sacked because he wasn't in his hotel room at the curfew time, taking care of his sick wife doesn't seem to be a balanced decision. What's more, he got sacked though his passion for soccer can be seen from the fact that he holds a degree, yet is a pro footballer (or is he semi-pro...can't recall...).

Well, sometimes there are many things happening behind the scenes that no one will know...

Guess that's why Blogs play a part in the territory of news making and information nowadays.

Cheers to the Singapore Team!

Next match versus China on homeground...I'll be there!
