This is how long it took me to travel the uphill road to starting my career. I can still remember the very day I stepped into SIA Training Centre and how long and tough the journey was up till this day...
21 Days of Outward Bound School
6 Months of theoretical exams and basic flying in Seletar
10 Months of practical flying (Cessna 172 and Beechcraft Baron) in Jandakot, Western Australia (away from home and enduring the passing of both my grandmothers :( ....)
1 Month of theoretical exams in STC
3 Months of simulator and practical jet (Learjet 45) flying in Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast, Queensland
1 Month of theoretical exams in STC
1.5 Months of simulator training in STC
8 Months of line flying as a second officer (enduring the premature passing of Lola, my family's beloved Yorkshire Terrier...:( )
And 13th of August has finally arrived and went, without much fanfare, but a significant milestone in my life.
I have finally completed my training.
It feels so...liberating!

Hey man,
Its really nice to see that a senior has a blog. One of the Lears flew in to JDK from MCY today, not exactly sure why, but I suspect its' due to the RedBull Air race held in Perth this weekend. I goggled for pictures of the Singapore Learjet 45 and your blog was in the results page. Haha...
I just cleared my P2 check this week, and have a long way to go. However, it feels really encouraging to read about your journey in the training phase. Thanks for sharing!

Hi bro!
Great to know that someone actually read it! hahaha :) I think all of you must be very excited to see the Learjet arriving! How's the Air Race? Must be very fun! ;)
Congrats on passing your P2! Just continue to work hard and do your best! There will be trying times but just focus on the rewards that you will enjoy when you check out and you'll be motivated! I'll see you around with your bars soon! Do say hi to me if you fly with me!
Take care man!
