Someone asked in a forum...why do we use Red Socks during Christmas to put presents in...
This is my take:
In the beginning...
Santa Claus was a poor boxer who was called Sam The Claws...
He fought a lot of bouts but he could not win.
The reason he turned into a boxer was because he had no money to support his aging parents
Then one fine day, he managed to find a good trainer called Rudolph
Rudolph saw Sam in the alleys, barefooted and dejected
So Rudolph gave Sam a pair of red thick socks for him to keep his feet warm
And Rudolph took him in
Rudolph trained him till he was the best fighter
Sam The Claws became a legend and when he won the championship belt
Sam The Claws retired
But before he could repay Rudolph for his kindness
Rudolph died from eating poisoned meat from a deer hunter called Snort Man
Sam was devastated..and he decided to quit boxing
He went home and saw the pair of red socks that was lying on his old bag
He took the socks, went to a kids home and placed all his money inside
He walked away...but one of the nurses, an avid boxing fan saw him walk away
and said
Sam The Claws!
The kids heard the nurse shout out and one of them happened to see the red socks full of money
And that little kid with a lisp said
San ta Claws left uth a present
And everyone smiled and was happy because everyone was able to buy cold weather clothes and a toy for each for the winter
It was December 25th
From that day onwards, Santa Claus became legend...and red socks were used to commemorate his generosity...
