Fukuoka Sushi Bar

How can I let a blog on Japan go by without showing their wonderful sushi!

Haha

Here are photos from the extremely popular sushi bar located at the basement of Solaria Plaza in Tenjin, Fukuoka. There are queues whole day long and its simply because the sushi that they serve are good value for money and unbelievably good!

Sakae Sushi, TAKE THAT!

Ichiban, you are good, but not that good yet!

Sushi Tei, getting there, but you'll never reach their level simply because you are not in Japan!

Enough said! Savour the photos...mmm

Salmon Toro and simple maguro

Watching the chefs cutting the fish skilfully.

Amaebi or sweet prawn!

The neverending queue!

Prices were ranging from 180 yen to 640 yen for the coloured plates, and of course you can order special stuff, but only if you speak Japanese lah! Hardly anyone speaks English there so we could only eat what was being served. But it was a great feast!

The quality of the fish and the variety of the sushi were astoundingly good. I even tried horse sashimi! It was of the texture of beef but had a sweetish taste. Something to try just for the sake of it.

Well, if I ever go back to Fukuoka, this is the place I'll surely go to again. :)
